We have owned the leapster L-max for over two years now. We bought it when my son was around 5 years old and he still plays with it. It still functions properly and is in good shape. I can't think of another toy that has lasted that long and that still gets used. He plays the games an average of 1-2 times a week, sometimes more, sometimes less. We also bought the charger that goes with it and LOVE IT! Much easier to use than replacing batteries.
