I picked this up for my son when he was 12 months old. This is a good toy for developmental stages for babies. At first he just liked to turn the pages because it makes a sound every time you turn the page. A little while later he was able to move the different pieces on each page and finally understood what he was making each item actually do. This was one of the few baby toys we had that he would even touch and at 2.5yrs he will still play with it occasionally.
