In order for the kids to find the hidden toy using the wands, you basically have to hide the toy in the room they're in. The signal is not strong enough to pick up the toy from very far away. This is fun for about 5 minutes and sort of defeats the purpose of keeping the kids entertained. The batteries also run down fairly quickly, and a strong battery signal is what is needed most.
