As many others have noted here, you can be in for a long day trying to get this thing set up. I consider myself fairly adept with computers, and it took me close to an hour to troubleshoot getting the camera to embed the image on the screen. I can only imagine someone not very technical trying to get this set up---so beware of that.
To that end, once I did get it set up and working, my daughter (7) had a blast playing it. She spent the next three hours playing with it, and continues to play with it off and on (after a week of having it). I'm sure she will soon become bored with it (as you can do only so much), but it's fun when she has friends over so they can do their "make-over".
All in all I would recommend this toy ONLY if you have the apptitude (and patience) to troubleshoot it if it does not work out of the box (which seem so the case for about 50% of the purchasers).Get more detail about Girl Tech Stylin Studio.
