I got this for my daughter for Christmas and had grandparents get a bunch of books to go with it. She absolutely loves it. We lost the pen at one point and when it was found I handed it to her, not realizing she was about to explode with the stomach flu, and she barfed all over it. It still worked fine. Last week she dropped it in the toilet. I dried it out in the sun and it still works. Crazy! At this point, if it broke, I would replace it because she completely loves it. I do have a new Mac which isn't partitioned, just using as it is out of box and it works fine with downloading the books. You can put books on the pen prior to purchase so if you know you will likely be getting a book, put it on so you don't have to later.
