6 year old grandson has had his Didj for a year and a half and five year old got his for Christmas 2009. They play them constantly with usual boy roughness. Units are durable and seem to last forever. Bought one unit new at Target and one used at Amazon, both are great. Games are a bit expensive but well worth the money.
