Digital Blue was noted by a few ghost hunters as being a great tool. If you have a good quality video camera with IR such as a SONY you will not be impressed. The image of photos is fair, for video is less than fair. This may be ok for a very small environment, but has very limited depth of field. The lens is fixed focus so there you go. Also, the audio collected is weak so I don't think you will be able to review for EVPs or low level sounds.
OVERALL it is a fun device, was inexpensive, and if you have no video at all it would be okay for indoor work. Outdoor images are definitely limited unless you are looking at less than 10 feet from the camera.
